Spooky Greetings!

Oh my! Halloween is coming soon! I made a new quilt to hang--it's small enough I can use it for a table topper, too! It's about 56" square. I found some Riley Blake fabric up at the Corn Wagon Quilt Shop in Springville, Utah. I just love that green polka-dot fabric! It reminds me of an antique scale I used to have. The quilt was easy. I just cut up fat quarters--cut them into a 9" squares, then sub-cut a 6" x 5", a 6" x 4" and a 2" x 3", 3" x 3", and a 3" x 4". The sashing are different sizes (between all the sub-cut blocks). Each finished block was 9 1/2" square.

Vanessa's pattern for the skeleton hand was one I downloaded from the www.lellaboutique.blogspot.com last year. I made up the green hands (traced my own hands/arms, added about 1/2" seam allowance), stitched with spider webs (satin-stitched with black thread)--just make sure you use stabilizer! The jars of colored popcorn and candy corns have black and white polka-dot lids! Just the right thing to tempt little goblins!

Here's a table setting I created to showcase a witch hat centerpiece--download it free from www.marcusfabrics.com!

It is perfect for Trick-or-Treating costumes for beautiful little girls, too!
